Through this channel we're pleased to profile our work for at risk Nepalese children and young people. The Esther Benjamins Trust (EBT) was founded by Philip Holmes in 1999; Philip is now based in Kathmandu, Nepal, where he is directly involved in the Trust's daily operations. These encompass the rescue and rehabilitation of trafficked children from India, refuge care to "at risk" children (including the children of prisoners and former street children) and educational support to disabled daycare centres.
About Me:

I am a former dental officer in the British Army. I set up EBT in memory of my first wife, Esther Benjamins, who took her own life in January 1999 because of childlessness. The Trust is now the largest UK registered charity that works solely for Nepalese children and young people. As our programmes in Nepal expand exponentially our need for support - financial and voluntary - grows in equal measure. Please help us if you can.

Brilliant work! Such joy and hope coming from a situation of such despair and pain.

Thanks for the comments. Our biggest need is funds as this whole operation is SO expensive. You can donate through our website. Failing that, just spread the word. We are making such a difference to the lives of these kids - otherwise I wouldn't waste my time being here.

Best wishes from Kathmandu
