In 1996, he posthumously received an Ivor Novello Award for his Outstanding Contribution to British Music, and was listed in Mojo as one of the top 100 greatest singers of all time. In September 2007, Steve and the other members of Small Faces were honoured with a plaque unveiled in Carnaby Street, on the site of Don Arden's offices, the spiritual home of the band.

Theo Angelopoulos, the multi-award winning and one of the world's greatest directors died after being hit by a motorcycle while he was walking across a road in Drapetsona, Piraeus, where he was filming "The Other Sea". He was 76.

He has worked with Tonino Guerra, Marcello Mastroianni, Jeanne Moreau, Harvey Keitel, Bruno Ganz, Willem Dafoe, Michel Piccoli.
