One day I'll come back and it will have been New Zealand's rich music that carried me home. This is one of those songs.

Now in England and so evocative...I knew my home country was special when I was there. It's not only special, it's different from anywhere else in the world. I feel things in New Zealand that the rest of the world crushes. That's why most Kiwis fly back eventually.

Paul Weller had the enviable ability, and very few have it, to write truly timeless tunes. It's not a cliche, it's just the truth. The majority don't have it but he does.

There are multiple interpretations of the lyrics to this song: female orgasm, etc. I hear my love for New Zealand and what its beauty does to me every time I see it, especially now that I live in the UK. This is a sublime love song.

Eddie knew how to write them alright. His instrumentals were brilliant and this one I just can't get enough of, along with Double Happy from True Colours.

You bet Split Enz weren't Australian. Not one single Australian in the band until the very last album. Aussies are very adept at pretending talented Kiwis are Australian. Fortunately, Kiwis don't try and do the same. We got more pride than that.

Smells Like Teen Spirit killed this era of music. Popular music changed after Nirvana. I enjoyed both.

I wish this kind of music had lasted longer. Music has to evolve but some years are special in music and 1990 was one of them. So much good rhythmic music from that year.
