I can still hear my neighbours, but I'm not surprised they're still here. So, thanks for the good news that the Christians were wrong. Shame they're still here though.

I stayed at the Travelodge near Liverpool St. Station. I undressed and showered. Then noticed - no towels. Couldn't phone reception cos they have no phone. In shorts and still a bit wet, I have to visit reception and wait my turn in a queue, to get a towel.

Next time in London, all the real hotel...

I strongly suspect that halal slaughter is so widespread in the UK, not for religious reasons, but simply because it's a cheaper way of killing animals. Retail food pricing is such a cut throat business (sorry for the pun).

@FruConradas Wrong. Only working people pay Solidaritätszuschlag along with income tax. Employment rates are much higher in the west. So, far more Solidaritätszuschlag is paid per person in the west, right?
