The Royal Band is comprised of Peter Daily, Darius Minaee, Jeff Trastek, and Mike Matias. Hailing from Los Angeles California the band formed after singer/songwriter Peter Daily recruited his friend and drummer Darius Minaee to back up his live show in support of his "Who is Peter Daily?" album. Soon after it didn't take long for conversations of starting a band to surface and although a creative chemistry was happening with Daily & Minaee, The Royal Band would remain only a topic of discussion.

During the recording of Peter's 2009 "9th St. Sessions EP", Darius and Peter befriended Jeff Trastek (guitar) and Chicago native Mike Matias (bass). "Jeff was working at the studio and Mike was interning so I guess you could say everything fell into each others lap really." Peter says. Upon completion of the EP Jeff joined the band and after Mikes move from Chicago to LA, the rest as they say is history.

The start of 2010 began with a flurry of shows in their local Los Angeles performing songs from Peter's solo recordings and soon after began writing and recording their new debut album which is slated for a 2011 release.

Peter Daily's debut record "Who is Peter Daily?" released on Janurary 15, 2008 featuring former Cibo Matto member Miho Hatori.
