I am a theist who is fascinated with the origin of the universe.Though i have strong personal religious beliefs my focus here is on scientific evidence for and against a creator. I respect other points of view i and think this topic can be discussed without hatred,cynicism or sarcasm.
The misconception that is perpetrated against theists is that they come to there conclusions because they have come to a point that they cant explain.''I DONT KNOW THEREFORE GOD DID IT''
ASTROPHYSICIST NEAL TYSON admits how little he knows about the universe as do i.In a similar vein to Tysons comments it is what i ''Do'' know about the universe that leads me to conclude there is an intelligence responsible for it. PESTMANPAT
It is difficult to discuss the beginning of the universe without mentioning the concept of God. My work on the origin of the universe is on the borderline between science and religion, but I try to stay on the scientific side of the border. I understand that your a person who wants only to believe in where science leads you and I really do understand that because I was the same way. But friend, until we as humans realize that our knowledge of what we do understand is about the universe is limited, then we can't just come to conclusions like, "well, this is all I can understand as far as my scientific knowledge, therefore this MUST be this all there is." Don't you think that's a little close minded? Just 'cos you don't get God with your limited knowledge doesn't mean He's not real. So it means just what it seems like, your a LIMITED creature that comes to LIMITED conclusions.No offence & God Bless~
