About Me:

Perception of Intent was founded by Avery Jacobs and Joe Dragich from Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 2007. This guitar duo has a long history together, starting when both were only 15 years old. In the beginning, Avery and Joe were not even half-way through high school, and Joe was playing bass guitar. For several years to follow, Joe and Avery played music with another guitarist, developing their songwriting and instrument playing abilities. In the summer of 2007, they parted ways with that guitarist and Joe began playing 6 string guitar. Both men delved into this new situation with a far more driven mindset, and they started writing new songs with a clean slate. Avery and Joe knew that they truly needed to push the envelope, and focus on writing the best songs they could. As time progressed, they became ready to embark on finding members to complete the band. From early 2008 to late 2009, they searched far and wide, and went through several lineup changes until finally they reached their current state: Perception of Intent as a full, 5-piece band. Through thick and thin, and after playing numerous instrumental shows to gain more exposure, Perception of Intent has stood out like a diamond in the rough. This band's will to succeed is surpassed in importance only by each members' true and undying love for music. Perception of Intent has become a force that is swiftly rising among the ranks, and shows no signs of stopping.
