Considering that the Jewish people constitute a mere one half of one percent of the world's population, Jewish contribution to religion, science, literature, music, medicine, finance, philosophy, entertainment etc., is staggering.
In the field of medicine alone, Jewish contributions are staggering and continue to be so. It was a Jew who created the first polio vaccine, who discovered insulin, who discovered that aspirin dealt with pain, who discovered chloral hydrate for convulsions, who discovered streptomycin, who discovered the origin and spread of infectious diseases, who invented the test for diagnosis of syphilis, who identified the first cancer virus, who discovered the cure for pellagra and added to the knowledge about yellow fever, typhoid, typhus, measles, diphtheria and influenza. Today, Israel, a nation only sixty years old, has emerged at the forefront of stem-cell research, which will, in the near future, give humanity unprecedented medical treatment for degenerative diseases.

Leftist Antisemites call their hatred of Israel "Anti-Zionism" but Zionists aren't a "majority" in Israel. Some of the leftist hatred of Israel is motivated by old-fashioned Antisemitism (beliefs in Jewish "control" etc.) but most of it is just the regular hatred of success in others. And because WE JEWS are SUCCESSFUL, the Antisemites and most Leftists hate us! And because the societies they inhabit don't give them the vast amount of recognition that their large but weak egos need, some of the most virulent haters of Israel and America live in one of the two countries. So the hatred is the product of pathologically high self-esteem.
Antisemites hate success in others, which is why notably successful societies such as the USA and Israel are hated and failures such as the Palestinians can do no wrong.
My opinion of Antisemitism: The modern, evolved Jews are the best humanity's got and hating them is hating humanity! Yet Jews to this day tend very strongly to be left-wing, even though the chief source of Antisemitism for roughly the last 200 years has been the political far-Left!
Their threatened egos sometimes drive Antisemites and Anti-Zionists into quite desperate flights from reality. For instance, they often call Israel an "Apartheid state", when it is in fact the Arab states that practice Apartheid -- witness the severe restrictions on Christians in Saudi Arabia. There are no such restrictions in Israel.
Of course, Christians can be Antisemites, too, just like Nazis, Muslims and many Leftists. BUT: Christians sometimes seem to forget that JESUS WAS JEWISH and PRO-ISRAEL! Jesus worked extra hard at attempting to bring his people back to the ethical traditions that were the foundations of the Jewish faith. While Jesus was living, his followers lived by his example and thus might be called reformed Jews, who after his death became the first Christians.
Many of these early Christians were dedicated to following the example of Jesus but over time they too fell into actions and activities that Jesus would not have approved of. Both, Christians and Socialists, must reject their anti-jewish, heavily anti-capitalist, anti-American and anti-Israel stance if they want to remain social HUMAN beings! Because the great antisemitic, totalitarian tyrannies were all far-Left, non-jewish and inhuman with uneducated "Christians" and Middle Eastern Islamists jumping on the bandwagon! Like it or not, it's true!

I hate people who claim Bush is a Nazi or Fascist. In fact, Republicans are very good friends of the Jewish Community and were strongly opposed to the eugenic racism of the anti-jewish American Progressives (who really influenced and preceded Mussolini, Hitler and the Holocaust) and to Stalin's anti-jewish purges!
