They got blindsided. was a common steiner...

@IgnisInCaelum um, the atlas is, somewhat, but please note the Hatchetman, Axeman, Berserker? those are actually DEDICATED Melee mechs., that being said, Atlas pilots were known for punching clan mechs in the craw when possible ;)

@gribae you're kidding right? read the novel about what they did to a city on a draconis planet...i'd shoot first, there's a reason the Inner Sphere completely destroyed the Smoke Jaguars. two SRM2 salvoes to the face is about as civil as they'd be.

@claric25 can carry 6, handy for Command squads with an attached character ;) the Razorback, i mean, and marines ain't that tall, most i've heard of are maybe 8 foot at the most, remember they're sitting too.

@korean888 fighters at beginning are Goblins, they were meant to be fighters that could be launched out of bombers to protect them. got tested out of B-36s in the late 40s and early 50s.
