Dr. Pedro Gómez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and graduated from University of Puerto Rico, and from Inter American University School of Optometry. He is certified to practice Optometry in Puerto Rico and Texas.

Dr. Gómez did a Residency in Pediatric Optometry at the University of Houston, College of Optometry. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology. Also he is a certified Wave Contact Lens designer.

Dr.Gómez has been in private practice for the last 20 years. He has been a guest speaker in different Universities in Latin America and coordinates missionary clinics in Dominicam Republic, Peru and Nicaragua. In recent years he has studied with passion, different ways to help children and young people to enjou good vision free of glasses.
