Right on brother, keep practicing. It's easy to let someone's opinion discourage you so don't let that happen. I quit at least 10 times because people told me I sucked. I have been playing for 22 years now and also teach guitar. God bless brother, keep rocking.

It's really a matter of preference. I have EMG X 's in one of my guitars and just put blackouts in my les Paul. They both sound amazing, just different vibe from each. Blackouts do have more output.
