It was The Grammys, about 1985. I taped The Grammys that night and got hooked on this song and the energy of the choir. I believe Phil Driscol was on that night too, and I had not heard of him prior. But he blew the roof off w/ his version of Amazing Grace. Thanks SO much for posting.

Seems Phil in more recent years has back WAY off on the vocal stylings he used here. A little over the top, a la Joe C and such. At times it was REALLY hard to understand him. And the reverb was used heavily in the mid 80s.
