Please answer as I am in the U.S. and am interested in knowing the following: We use 1" = 1" and 4 3/4" gage. As you are using 5" gage are your models built to 1:12 or 1:11? Very nice loco by the way. Thank you.

Interesting. As he was my absolute favourite, on the day he died and years for afterwards, I was devastated. Now with the insight of 40+ years, to be honest, I think he creatively peaked in '67-'68 although his guitar technique was improving.

@adrianspeeder That answer indicates you've blowing something else. Railroads use Rotary snow plows. They are very different in operation and mechanical design.

@butterfaceee THAT means nothing! What was it's licence plate number? It has to be either an old engine or an old chassis (pre1974) With an old engine you prove you built the chassis. In other words, unless you know about one other little secret, no these are not street legal in California.

@SenorSpode: What about the throttle? If not physically incapacitated, I'd presume one would attempt a power reduction at speed. Why the reluctance to realize this is more likely the shock of what was happening causing the poor old guy to have a heart attack or a stroke.

I'd like to know what other P51 pilots would honestly not protectively say about this. Trim tabs could be used to get a P38 out of compressibility but this is a case of a pilot's stroke, etc. I really doubt a trim tab loss would cause the entire plane to go out of control to this degree.
