Paul Dempsey is known to most as the singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of Australian band, Something for Kate however, Dempsey has also always played solo shows and toured solo when not busy with Something for Kate as well as producing records for other artists.

In August 2009 Dempsey released his debut solo album titled "Everything Is True" through EMI Music Australia to overwhelming success and critical acclaim. After debuting in the Top 5 of the Australian charts,the album has garnered a succession of glowing reviews from Rolling Stone to The Age to The Australian also earning Paul ARIA nominations, Rolling Stone, J Award & Age nominations as well as picking up the EG Award for Best Australian Male Artist. iTunes Australia proclaimed "Everything is True" as the album of the year while Triple J listeners voted it in their Top 10 albums of 2009.
The album has so far spawned 4 singles. Paul and his band are about to commence another national tour with US and UK shows for 2010.
