It is incumbent on anyone that enjoys living in a society that allows free speech that we allow speech that we do not agree with, and may even hate. It is as I see it, one of the aspects of our culture that is superior to Supremacist Political Ideologies, like Islam, Communism, and Nazism. But, when we start granting unique entitlements to a specific group to guard against getting their feeling hurt, while this same group has Carte blanche regarding others feelings, then these people are not playing fair.

You said it's easier to support free speech when you agree with it which came off to me as the same kind of mentality the religious right has. I guess I misinterpreted.

123 why pray tell is honesty a bad thing? I support free speech, for everyone. But I support people who I judge as honest and forthright and worthy of the right, who use it with tact and use it for the common good of a republic. To gag anyone is seen as wrong to most people, until they are under attack, or perceive themselves to be. That's how hate crime legislation came into being. But people in America have the right to hate too. We should never legislate speech as a crime. Hate is a civil matter. And before any judgement can be made a tort has to have been committed.

Pat, that video of the EU Once upon a time, very disturbing and quite telling, there was hope. The boogieman was dead. Now we seem to be worse off than before, The boogieman lives. This global cabal that sees us only in terms of human commodities. The EU will ruin the nation states, that are Europe's pride. The politicians have done their worst to the people, tax slaves and strangers in their own Lands, we have become the cattle the elite hoped for. Even in the myths the great horror dies and returns, we seem to be doomed. Communism seems alive and well in the USA, a gentler kinder form, of fascism.
