    Cashman & West (A 70'S CLASSIC)

Memorable 1973 tune from the duo of Cashman & West. "American City Suite".

    passanis passanis commented:

A great but forgotten song-it perfectly captured the feeling in all big cities in the late 60's and early 70's

    The Dominoes "Sixty-Minute Man"

Federal 45-12022-AA, 1951. Extremely rare, clean, first press.

    passanis passanis commented:

I like the song. The only problem is that it seems to reinforce black male sexual stereotypes.

I don't care people thought about that in 1951.

Ricky Nelson - Travelin' Man 1961

Ricky Nelson - Travelin' Man 1961

    Lyrics:

    I'm a travelin' man

and I've made a lotta stops

    all over the world

    And in every port

    I own the heart ...

    passanis passanis commented:

I remember seeing Rick perform in 1981. I also recall hearing of his death on New Year's Eve 1985, 26 years ago today. He had an incredible voice and seemed to be also a good person. Some of his recordings are among the best rock and roll songs of all time. Too bad he died so young.

    Frankie Lymon-Goody Goody 1958 Live

    Frankie Lymon-Goody Goody 1958

    passanis passanis commented:

A great voice and such great potential. Apparently a victim of drug abuse, like so many r and b and rock and roll performers.

    Clyde McPhatter - A Lover's Question

    Doo Wop From The 50's

    passanis passanis commented:

What a voice Clyde had! His range was fantastic. Too bad he had to die, apparently broke and alcoholic. There should be more material written about his life
