well first of all: pure mathematics is not about physical 'reality', mathematics is a formal system dealing with abstract enties that do not have physical meaning. among the sciences mathematics is the only one that is able to deal with infinity, e.g. by the notion called 'limit'. I have read about two days or so a very interesting article by the philosopher A. J. Ayer. he claims that the truths of mathematics are analytic propositions (tautologies) and that they are devoid of factual content. this is an interesting view, insofar as it is very ontroversial:
'The principles of logic and mathematics are true universally simply because we never allow them to be anything else. And the reason for this is that we cannot abandon them withoutcontradicting ourselves, without sinning against the rules which govern the use of language, and so making our utterances self-stultifying In other words, the truths of logic and mathematics are analytic propositions or tautologies. '

well it seems that you are as ignorant as far as mathematics is concerned as I am ignorant as far as your bhakti yoga is concerned.

I am of course well aware of the fact that I made some very dogmatic statements. You see, I am just curious about your notion of "absolute truth". To me absolute truth is a attribute of a statement that can be proven apodictically, i.e., by means of a mathematical proof. Consider for instance the proof of the infinity of prime numbers (a very simple example that perfectly illustrates my point): We prove by reductio ad absurdum. Suppose that the sequence of prime numbers 2,3,..., P is finite and P is the largest prime number. Now consider the number defined by Q:=1.2.3...P+1. Obviously Q cannot be divided by any prime number (for it leaves rest 1). So Q is either itself prime, OR divisible by a prime larger than P. Both cases contradict our assumption. Q.E.D. Do you see that the truth of the proposition "the sequence of prime numbers is infinite" is beyond doubt?

No I won't. I'm gonna read pure mathematics, which IS the only way to truth. The truth will set thee free

Well knowledge is everything that follows from the law of the excluded middle (for instance the infinity of prime numbers).

Yes, yes, thinking people have been wrestling with this Divine Paradox ever since we got kicked out of Eden. However, Father Abraham dedicated his life to restoring the awareness of G-ds' Unity and the abolition of image worship. He taught that the forces and entities of nature have no independent existence without G-d constantly willing them into being. They are like sock-puppets, without independent life. When you direct your prayers to the Sun, doing the Suryana Askaram yoga pose, for example, you're just "talkin' to the hand". This is not pleasing to G-d, and beneath the dignity of a human being, for whom the sun was created! BTW, I see your page is old style YouTube. How do I restore my pages' orig appearance and how do I reset things so I can see where my last comments are when replying to anothers' comment?
