October 5 is WORLD TEACHERS DAY! I wanna sing this on that day!

I am an education student in my 2nd year.. I;m just wondering if; to be able to elicit the prior knowledge of children and transfer new facts or informations to these youngters, maybe we should teach them using our local dialect or language. Why is it very prominent to use english?
