Once you cut into the center of the hem the pant leg can never be let down.

Embroidery machines make more noise than a sewing machine because the foot is not, and should not be, tightly holding the fabric down. It looks like the darning foot is being used. There are other options, like the clear embroidery foot.

@SuperSnack123 jpeg is not an embroidery format. Try Universal Stitch Era. It is also free. You import your art file (jpeg, bmp for example) and it will convert to a machine embroidery format.
