He was on his way home from his high school graduation with his dad in the hummer with him when a tornado came through (Joplin tornado on 5/22/2011) and so Will was driving the car and his dad was on the phone with his daughter, Sara (Will's sister), when they saw the tornado right near them and Sara heard the dad yell to Will to pull over so he did. The tornado destroyed the hummer, and Will was yanked out of his sunroof, his Dad tried his hardest to hold on but with it being an F5 tornado, that's almost impossible. So 6 days later they found him in the pond that the hummer was next to.
