College of the Pacific

The College of the Pacific — a school of arts, letters, and sciences — is the original and largest unit of the University of the Pacific.

Its distinctive mission is to provide its graduates with a superior liberal arts education, preparing them to assume the responsibilities of leadership, both civic and professional, in their later lives.

The College has been pursuing this mission since 1851, when it was founded as the first state-chartered institution of higher learning in California.
