About Me:
My name is Mark. I'm a student at Wesleyan University.
I'm not deaf or hard of hearing, and do not have any deaf relatives, but I am fascinated by American Sign Language. I've taken a few years of classes and am trying to continually get better.
I'm using what I learned to create song interpretations, as well as to work with deaf children in a Cognitive Development Lab through my school in the coming few years.
Any feedback on my signing would be greatly appreciated :)

You're one of the few people I've found recently that make me inspired to pick up ASL again. I didn't get far the first time but being hard of hearing I heard a lot of trash about how I'd amount to nothing. Been a disability for me my whole life. But watching the videos of you and about 5 others reminded me that even though I haven't had a class for 3 years I would every now and then somehow sign something to someone who had no idea what the hell I just did with my hands xD; (reactions are amusing)

I'm a terp, I've been signing since I was 8. what you lack in refinement and fine motor skills you make up for in really decent asl and actual signing. I like that you are not even just doing bare minimum but also getting the point of the song across. Practice in a mirror, til your signs look like the deaf people you can find on here. CodaWann, codabrothers, ewitteborg, etc...all good signers to emulate. When your signs look like theirs, and you WILL know when they do, :) you'll be ahead of the game. practice fingerspelling....add me, we can skype, etc... :D

Your signing is fantastic! You must practice a lot before you make the video. How old are you?

Maybe I'm just new to the whole ASL scene, but hey man. You look like you're friggin' rapping there, and it's epic. Keep it up; I enjoy your videos!
