  @cdh0007 Hi, Yes the dye went over the binding as well. That way you make sure that you get it to cover the whole of the top. It's really the only way to do it right. Once it's dried, get a sharp craft blade (like a Stanley blade) and use that to scrape the binding. Not a fun job, but worthing it...
