i say driver error, even tho it was on the highway i walked away from an is 350 with my 540i...... a heavier car, more torquey tho too....

hey is this emissions legal? i have a 98 540i 6speed and would like to replace the cats with magnaflow since the OEM ones cost a fortune.

my 540i 6speed cuts out at 155 and im not even at redline in 5th, i think with the dinan software i can peg 170+... :) good shit im surprised theres not people on here telling u how irresponsible you are, i guess its mostly bimmer drivers commenting so, we know whats up and how easy it is to driv...

@egalamay25 you could pick up an e55 AMG for under 30k theese days... you'd probably spend that much in upkeep over a 4 year period tho lol... but spend 2-3k on smaller supercharger pulley some bolt ons and a tune and that e55 will be raping vipers and zo6s on the highway........

@4440powerhouse i agree my buddys got pretty much full bolt ons on his firebird formula and makes a tad over 300@wheels. my 540i put down 271 with ghetto exhaust and a k&n drop in... its only rated at 282hp from factory so i guess anything is possible im not too familiar with LSx motors tho...

better gear selection and shifting you would pull WAY harder obviously.... have any vids of it running 11s??? gotta see to believe that cuz my buddys got a 2002 with full bolt ons but its an auto, and my 540i 6 speed pisses all over it, and i had trouble breaking into the 13s for quarter mile......

@UGotKilledByACamper VTEC would hinder this motor not help it, VTEC just saves gas in the lower RPM range thats why theres VTEC eliminator cams...

put a cut out with some real quiet mufflers on this bitch then ittl be a sleeper..........
