Bassist,Fretless bassist Electic Guitarist-vocalist, composer and artist (restorers, mechanical R&D designers) Ozgur ARATAN relocated to lzmir from Istanbul a few years ago OA grew up in a number of locales during his formative years. As he explains, "Being a child of the 80's, I was naturally attracted to the so-called rock scene and the music that surrounded it. I mean, Izmir's Club Band and Are You Experienced? are the reasons that I play music today. "At least those were the reasons I decided I was going to start playing guitar". OA would later spend 16 years in Izmir and Istanbul, where he began working professionally at the age of 19 as a singer/guitarist,bassist backing a rock bands, garnering a huge following in the process. "We were like a pop star with many peoples, a fan club, and everything", At one point in the early 2000's, it was an amazing juggling act between working with Artniyet Band," he recalls. "It was like non-stop airports. Of course, it was great to be so busy, but it also created this incredible log jam of events." In recent years, barefoot has released band CD's, toured and recorded with Tual. Says OA, " I'm concentrating more on my own projects now, but I still love playing with all these other musicians as well."
