The maiden run of the Critter (Life in southwest OK)
This is the first time I turned on my beater, the Critter. Neither my cat Angus or I had any idea it would make such a racket!

Oh, I may have been unclear. I meant turn it off, unplug it and take off the cover, then manually turn the blade, lowering it until it no longer turns. Then raise it by 4-5 full turns of the screw and start your beat at that level with the cover back on.

Looking back, the times on this were a little short, it actually took about 4-5 hours after this point for me to get the fiber where I wanted it. The fiber was also slightly undercooked unfortunately so I had to pick out some harder bits while it was going -- maybe about half a quart of woody stu...
