Man would some of you stop comparing Wynton and Louis or even Bix for that matter. Thay are all great period! Jazz is all about style and voice. Each cat has a unique sound (apart from the Brecker clones) and has contributed to this great music.

As much as Brecker is great, I can't help feeling that he is a selfish player. By this I mean he seems to play the same way no matter what type of tune or band he is dealing with especially on up numbers. His playing is exciting on funk type grooves but for swinging/blues Jazz; not sure man.

Whatever you guys think about technique it sounds like Kenny Burrell. That is the most important thing. Ultimate technique is being able to sound like yourself warts and all. You can recognise Kenny after two bars no matter what guitar he is playing. He is a Jazz guitar legend; end of story.
