About Me:

Fusing different styles of dance has always inspired me ^__^

I am currently recovering from a back injury, and I will be posting videos of my bellydance progress as I heal up over time. Since I had taken such a long break from dance to study art and start a family, I am also working on getting my body back and into good dancing condition. This may take some time, so please bear with me. =/ I'll be also be posting my progress as I work on poi, mini hoops, contact juggling, hooping, iso hoop, double staff, buugeng, juggling, fire fans, and chain whip =)

Yes, thats so interesting that you were introduced to the flow arts via bellydancing, in my research too I find theres a strong link there! If we spinners finally accept that the fire flow arts originated in India and not just Hawaii & NewZealand then a whole new dimension is open to us! My wild guess is that the traditions of India reached east as far as Hawaii! ( the polynesian haka is like the kali/durga dance for instance, where they stick their tongue out) , plus the fire dance traditions also went west to Bulgaria in Europe!(Nestinari walking on coals for instance) ~ I am busy editing my next video on 'fire flow' part 3, out soon ~ Shanti

Another thing, just had a look at your fire eating video, very impressive... you may also be interested for some inspiration ,at looking up the traditional fire eating/breathing skills & techniques of the bhanjara 'Gypsys' of India or Buddhist performers of 'gini sisila' in Sri Lankha. Theirs is an ancient skill & they can breath further & sustain flames longer than most modern performers in my opinion!

Namaste Jaela, Thank you for your support over at my channel ~ Since you are skilled in a vast array of the fire flow arts, hope you enjoy 'Joriacharya' a channel that takes a holistic approach to the history of flow arts, Shanti & Peace plus a smooth recovery back into flow ~~
