Neither does mine. I made an ISO of my legal retail DVD and used Win32 Disk Imager to dump the ISO to a flash drive. The install on my iMac (600 Mhz 1 gig RAM 40 Gig HDD) took a short 2 hours through USB 1.1.

I never owned the Gateway 2000, but I was at a thrift store and I saw the Windows 3.11 Installer for the Gatewayy 2000. It was a pain to setup. Drivers never worked in VirtualPC.

I agree, netbooks are designed to be cheap. That's the whole attraction. A friend gave me a Pentium III 128 MB RAM and 4 VRAM ultra portable laptop from Y2K era. I still use it.

Hello, I used to have a Pentium III from 1998 that ran at 700 Mhz with 128 Mb of RAM and Windows XP SP3. It crawled because I installed AVG on it. Surprising though, it never died.
I got it for free. I must say that I am quite pleased with it too. It now runs Ubuntu Server.
