It turns out the disc as a 45rpm first entered the British Charts (NME) in July 1965. I remember listening to it on a (valve) car radio during a wet bank holday trip around Devon in August 1965.

The Poles were bloody brilliant. They had the additional hatred of the Nazis having seen their country destroyed by them. We should never forget the Poles and the other brave nationals that made such a huge contribution to Europe's liberty.
