Kosovo Assembly essay contest for schools
The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is running an essay contest for primary and secondary schools throughout Kosovo. The essay topic is: The Assembly as a symbol of democracy. The awards will include a laptop computer for the three best essay authors and a computer, scanner and printer for each of their respective schools.
Competing essays can be nominated by schools, one per school, and can be written in any official language in Kosovo. Essays may not exceed a limit of 750 words. Essay winners will be announced on 10 December 2011, at a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Assembly of Kosovo.
The contest is one of the Mission's activities to mark the Assembly's tenth anniversary.
Protection of children from harmful TV content
The OSCE Mission in Kosovo and the Independent Media Commission will launch a public information campaign on protection of children and minors from harmful TV content.
The campaign raises awareness about possible negative impact of inappropriate television content, and invites parents to supervise their children when watching TV.
The campaign will include TV spot in Albanian, Serbian and Turkish languages.
Civic Participation Campaign - TV Spots
Reforming Kosovo's municipalities - The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is helping reform municipalities in line with the European Charter on Local Self-Government. The Mission's public information campaign, which runs throughout 2010, aims to increase transparency and civic participation in municipal decision making.

OSCE Mission in Kosovo through film
Thanks to a contribution by the United States Mission to the OSCE, a young Kosovo Filmmaker, Arben Llapashtica, selected in an open competition, was given a chance to make a film of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo's work.
The film highlights some of the Mission's many activities deriving from its institution-building, democratization, and human rights monitoring, protection, and promotion mandate.

Press Council of Kosovo Public Awareness Campaign
The Public Awareness Campaign for the Press Council of Kosovo (PCK) is part of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo long-standing support to the Press Council. The campaign will be implemented through a TV spot in Albanian and Serbian languages which will be broadcast for three weeks and a radio spot in the two languages which will be broadcast for one month. The campaign aims at raising awareness about the role and functions of the PCK which is mandated with safeguarding the public against violations of the Press Code of Conduct and the Statute of the Press Council by print media. The Campaign will provide the public with information on how to file a complaint in instances where a member of the public feels that there has been a violation of the Code of Conduct.
