The lyric mexican tenor Oscar de la Torre, has developed an active and increasing career. Some of his more important performances are the world premier of the contemporary opera Mis dos cabezas of Juan Trigos with the Zagreb Phylarmonic Orchestra in the Lisinsky Great Concert Hall, Zagreb, Croatia; the premier in Mexico of the opera Griselda and Dixit Dominus of A. Vivaldi, with the venecian ensemble I Sonatori della Gioiosa Marca, directed by Francesco Fanna, in the Nezahualcóyotl Hall; the latin american staged premier, of the opera Montezuma of A. Vivaldi, inside the Viva Vivaldi International Festival 2007, in the Theater of the City (Mexico); the latin american premier of The Pirates of Penzance of Gilbert & Sullivan spanish version, in the Huatulco International Festival 2006, Oaxaca, Mexico and the premier in Mexico of the contemporary opera Little Women of Mark Adamo in the Theater of the City, Mexico. Also he has been invited to sing in Music festivals and International encounters in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Croatia, South America, Canada, United States and Mexico. He won the Prize Opera de Bellas Artes in the National Singing Contest Carlo Morelli. Since december he studies with Saverio Suarez- Ribaudo in Munich, Germany. He has shared the scenario with international figures as Francisco Araiza, Placido Domingo, Veronica Villarroel y Nancy Herrera. Mr. De la Torre sung in November 2007 and March 2008, Rossini's Concerts, in Hubertussaal (Nymphenburg Castle), Barockesaal (Munich) and Weißersaal in Stuttgart. In December, he had the invitation to sing the Premiere in Europe of the twice contemporary operas Comala of Ricardo Zohn- Moldoon, and De cachetito raspado of Juan Trigos in the Festival Internazionale Spazio- Musica 2007, with the Divertimento Ensemble, In Cerdegna, Italy. In Switzerland, he interpreted in december 2007 and january 2008, Prince Ramiro in Rossini's opera, La Cenerentola in German Version, in the Great Hall of Goetheanum, in Dornach; and in the Miller Studio in Zurich. In march he sung in Opera-Concert, Don Giovanni, intrepreted Don Ottavio in Hubertussaal in Munich. Within his next commitments it can be emphasized, his performance of the protagonic roles of Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte, and Prince Tamino, in The magic Flute, in april, may, june, july and august 2008. Oscar de la Torre will perform the role of Prince Ramiro of the Rossini's opera, La Cenerentola, german version, in Switzerland, in Winterthur Theatre this may 2008. He will sing in September 2008, at a Rossini's Gala in the Prinzregententheater, in Munich.
