@Deadboots slow really is better, i know this sounds dangerous but I had a 7 year old kid start our 35 A. He couldn't get my 28 D to go tho its got way too much compression, with the petcocks closed my 360lb lineman friend cant even turn it over.

Starting my 1928 John Deere D
Starting and running my 1928 John Deere D around the driveway. The sound is a little distorted because the tractor is so loud.

@cajuncaseydog just took some old tractor tires, cut the side walls off with a sawzall, drilled holes in the rubber and put bolts and washers to hold it on. Luckily this was already done when I got it it seems like it would be pretty tough to cut the sidewalls off. The traction with this set up ...
