I made this video last week in honour of the release of the finale of Season 3 of Time Agent, which I had the pleasure of being a recurring guest star in, playing Colonel Radcliffe-Naismith. Firstly, I would like to preface this video by saying that the original opening made by Jon Gransden (www.youtube.com/user/anermay) was beyond epic, but it's very much a piece of animation, and I wanted to make a live-action complimenary version. It gave me the chance to work on some new effects for transitions and colourings, and effects on the actor names as well. Also, I should point out this is a full-cast opening for anyone who was in it as a recurring character, barring The Contact, simply because I didnt like the character, although I understand the need for those scenes to illustrate Liam's growing darker attitude. I also included Matt Perks because I wish we'd seen more of his character, and I hope we will in the future in flashbacks of their time together. starring Billy Treacy as Agent Liam Jaime Carroll as Agent Mortis Allan Rafferty as Dr. Robin Turner and Chris Thomson as The Executive also starring Sam Woodhall as Dr. Alec McDonald Abbie Plant as Scarlett Brookes Alex Matthews as Colonel Radcliffe-Naismith Jon Gransden as Captain Tobias Jacob Kay as Dr. Jackson Turner Matthew Perks as Agent Obediah

Since news of a live action Avengers film began circulating, I've been contemplating making an opening to it, even more so as the individual character films started coming out. This urge only increased when the new animated Avengers series premiered, with a killer theme tune, but with a lot of sound effects throughout it. Even though we were given a stellar cast of actors and characters, I also debated adding new members to the team, heroes that had their own movies, and in the comics, had been involved with the Avengers at some point in their career, such as Spiderman and Daredevil. However, with the upcoming reboot to the Spiderman franchise, that ruled out using shots of Tobey Maguire minus the costume, and so I was going to include Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock, only to read that the Daredevil franchise is being rebooted as well. After my "Fantastic Four" video, I decided it was time to give an "Avengers" one a go finally, so I went out and bought all the missing films from my Marvel superheroes collection, as well as got a hold of HQ trailers for "Avengers" and "The Amazing Spider-Man". This is what I put together, based again on the idea of the franchise being made into a television series, not a movie series. starring Chris Evans as "Steve Rogers/Captain America" Robert Downey Jr. as "Iron Man/Tony Stark" Chris Hemsworth as "Thor Odinson" Mark Ruffalo as "Dr. Bruce Banner/Hulk" Jeremy Renner as "Clint Barton/Hawkeye" Scarlett Johansson as "Natasha Romanova/Black Widow" Andrew Garfield as "Peter Parker/Spiderman" and Samuel L Jackson as "Nick Fury" Because of the heavy use of sound effects in the new Avenger animated theme, I decided to go back and use the theme from the "Avengers: United They Stand" animated series, which itself was loosely based on the "West Coast Avengers" comic book, airing in 1999, and was cancelled the following year, only producing the one season, This theme is fast-paced and although it did include some sound effects, I was able to work those into the clips, you'll have to let me know if I was successful enough :p Also, I rendered this one at a lower quality then my usual because some of the footage used wasn't my usual top quality, but it should still play in fullscreen a little larger then the standard video box size. No copyright infringement intended, I do not own any of these clips, they are the property of their respective owners, this is a form of tribute not designed for profit.

I've been contemplating making this video for a while now, to the point I downloaded a couple of episodes from the most recent "FF" animated series, that aired just after the first of the most recent feature films were released. But initially, I felt my own particular style of video making didn't work with the fast paced music. However, I've learnt a few new tricks since then, and gotten better with using short, sharp clips and scenes, and when I stumbled across a plethora of high quality promotional images for the films, I decided to take another crack at this. Basically, this video postulates what it might have been like if instead of features, they made a live action series of "Fantastic Four", starring the same actors. It uses the theme from the previously mentioned "FF" animated series, and paid due attention to Stan Lee (labelled as a Co-Executive Producer) and Avi Arad (labelled as an Executive Producer), since they've been involved with almost every animated or live action outting for Marvel in some way. It was a lot of fun to make, mostly because I decided from the get-go that I needed to show some shirtless Chris Evans footage, and the scene were he deliberately steams up for Captain Raye is one of my favourite "Johnny Storm" moments. I was annoyed at the decision to reboot the franchise, but with Chris being cast as "Captain America", I guessed the writing was on the wall anyway, since they will want the next "FF" films to fit into the overall continuity of the latest Marvel films, such as the "Iron Man" films, "Thor" and "Avengers".

Like many comic books fans, when I first heard about the new Wonder Woman pilot, I was excited, but when I saw Adrianne Palicki in photoshoots for the initial costume design, I was a little dubious. However, when they modified the outfit to more closely mimic the original design, I grew excited again, and eagerly hunted waited for the finished pilot to be released. However, that was not meant to be - as we all know, the new Wonder Woman series was cancelled before the pilot was even finished being produced. Several months later, an incomplete version, with most of the SFX effects only basically added, was released on the internet, and I was lucky enough to get a copy. Although the I found episode itself enjoyable, I was troubled with certain details, the most being that Wonder Woman tortured information out of a crooked witness, even though her lasso had been referred to earlier as "the Lasso of Truth". I can understand the show wanting to be gritty and realistic, but I think that was a step too far, given that Diana of Themyscira is supposed to be all about peace and love, and the superioty of women. The second issue I had doubts about was the decision to essentially split Diana into 3 distinct entities, Wonder Woman, the secret identity of "Diana Prince", and the new idea of "Diana Themyscira", the multibillion dollar businesswoman persona who everyone already knows IS Wonder Woman. Cary Elwes' character had it right about her giving herself self induced schizophrenia! So, when I was rewatching the episode "Fortune" of Season 10 "Smallville", when Chloe Sullivan not only refers to a "wondrous woman", but decides to move to Star City to nurture new heroes, I was struck by an idea - what if it WAS Adrianne's version of Diana that Chloe had met, while visiting Los Angeles? Given the events that occur in the pilot, I developed a story idea (one I might actually sit down, plan out and write as a virtual script), and here is it as follows: Diana of Themyscira, also known to many as the heroic crime fighter Wonder Woman, has not had the easiest time of the past year. Forced to leave Los Angeles due to the somewhat savage nature she has demonstrated during her vigilante takedowns, and turning the running of Themyscira Industries over to trusted friends Henry Detmer and Etta Candy, Diana has relocated to Star City to take stock of her life. Retiring the persona of 'the boss', Diana assumes the identity of "Diana Prince" full time and takes a job at the Star City branch of her company. However, it is not long before she feels the call to help people, after meeting local detective Mike Schoor, and donning a new costume, steps into the shadows as Wonder Woman once again. With the help of local Star City Register reporter, and old friend, Chloe Sullivan, another woman seeking to make a difference, the two vow to clean up the streets of their newly adopted home, while keeping out of the public eye. But there is one person who is not particularly thrilled with this decision - Donna Milton, a high powered attorney who is much more then meets the eye, whose law firm is not only the first choice for many of the wealthier criminals in residence, but also a front for her own criminal activities. Starring Adrianne Palicki as "Diana Prince/Wonder Woman" David Lyons as "Detective Mike Schoor" [clips from "The Cape"] Tricia Helfer as "Donna Milton" [clips from "No Ordinary Family", "Burn Notice" and "Human Target"] And Allison Mack as "Chloe Sullivan"
I dropped the characters of Henry, Etta and Steve Trevor simply because I wanted Diana to be alone in Star City, and this would bring her closer to Chloe, a familiar face. To be honest, though, the whole Diana/Steve 'romance' in the pilot didn't ring true enough to me, either - I considered including Steve in this, with an altered back story, but then even though I liked Justin Bruening in "Knight Rider 2008", I wasn't feeling him as this incarnation as Steve, so I left him be.
Titles music used is the opening theme for the NBC series "The Cape", which seemed appropriate after I decided to 'cast' David Lyons as the male lead. Clips used are the property of their respective owners, I do NOT own anything used here, just my own imagination in the way I put them together. No copyright infringement intended at ALL.

I've been wanting to make this video for ages, but waited until I had the Season 9 DVD, and then, it wasn't until I was rewatching Season 10's "Shield" that I finally got around to doing it. The JSA in both the comics and Smallvile continuity was the organisation of superheroes that predated the Justice League by several decades - in the comics, from around the 1950s, whereas in Smallville, it's insinuated to be the late 70s, early 80s. The group was introduced in Smallville in the telemovies "Absolute Justice" during Season 9, featuring Carter Hall [Hawkman], Sylvester Pemberton [Star-Spangled Kid], Kent Nelson [Dr. Fate], Wesley Dodds [Sandman]. and Courtney Whitmore [Stargirl], among others (Sahar Biniaz as the deceased Shayera Hol [Hawkgirl] was introduced in the Season 10 episode "Shield"), They team up with the proto-Justice League to investigate when Pemberton and Dodds are murdered by the son of one of the team's old villians, the Icicle. When the mission is complete, the group decides to stay and continue to fight the good fight, alongside their new counterparts. Alas, the only surviving member of the group now, is Courtney, after the deaths of both Nelson and Carter during Season 9 and 10, but I thought it would be nice to do a kind of tribute opening credits video, if things had been different. Starring: Michael Shanks as Carter Hall Britt Irvin as Courtney Whitmore Jim Shield as Sylvester Pemberton Sahar Biniaz as Shayera Hol [clip from Sanctuary Season 2 Finale] Ken Lawson as Wesley Dodds and Brent Stait as Kent Nelson Theme used is the original theme for the Justice League cartoon, before it's revamp in Justice League Unlimited. No copyright infringement intended, this video is a tibute to the show Smallville and character introduced, I do not own any footage or music used in the video, they are the property of the true respective owners.
