House of rising sun - Jimi Hendrix
House of rising sun - Jimi Hendrix
If this is Hendrix, he's either too stoned to play well or is still learing,
This recording has got to be at least early 1960's (the fuzz), but Jimi was a fully developed player by that time according to Albert Collins, whom Jimi roasted at one of his gigs (early 60's),and as for being too stoned...

Jimi Hendrix Message to Love/ Woodstock Cover
I hope you enjoy. I tried to play a mix between Woodstock and studio version.
I learned by ear from records and listened to Message of Love when it first came out on Band of Gyp., then played it in my band..there was no tab back then. we all just watched other players and used our ears. I probably got it wrong but corrected it over time...
Tabs are a check for what u lear...

Jimi Hendrix-live in Hakaluka Crater-Maui 1970-parte4
Cuarta parte del concierto de Hendrix en Maui, en 1970.
I was thought it's a shame Jimi and George Clinton (Parliament/Funkadelic...and BOOTSIE!!!...) did not end up together..(it would work, right?)
With Jimi's sense of fun, musicianship, and performance and Clinton's outer-space themes and artistry--- it wouldn've been a BLAST!!!.

Jimi Hendrix-live in Hakaluka Crater-Maui 1970-parte4
Cuarta parte del concierto de Hendrix en Maui, en 1970.
Jimi used the recording studio in New York as a rehearsal space and composition work, jams, parties, etc..
I can understand Noel and Chas being fed up with it, but that it worked for Jimi and that's all that really mattered...
Also, Jimi's bass parts were of a completely different style than Noel...

It's all official now, but the thumb over the 6th string was heresy back in 1970 (I was 14 years old): when I was taking guitar lessons (MEL BAY BOOK 2); I asked the instructor to explain what Jimi was doing with the thumb hangin over the neck and to please teach me how to play like that. He sai...

jimi hendrix- message to love
jimi hendrix- message to love
first video
Great version on Crash Landing, except Alan Douglas, the producer, "lost" a good chunk of it, according to Janie Hendrix. Experience Hendrix finally got it back and the COMPLETE version of the take is on their Experience box set (with the purple velvet cover). Why he cut out that part is a myster...

Bob Brozman - Down the road
http://www.laguitare.com/ - 4ème édition des Automnales de Ballainvilliers
Puppy: You don't realize that the communication I'm referring to (not typing on a keyboard, puppy) isn't about just the words being used. If I TYPE "Have a nice day" you will understand me to mean I wish you well. If I SAY the same words to your face, I can make it sound like I want to put a rail...

You prehaps don't realize that the communication I'm referring to (not typing on a keyboard, puppy) is dependent on not just the words being used. Stick to your great playing, man, because everytime you open your mouth it's God-awful painful to listen to....and I don't mean anything against the French or any other language. Just your delivery - not authentic, sincere, or pleasant..
Just play and shut the hell up ... ok?

Fischer - Spassky
Match Fischer - Spassky, 1-st game, 1972
Do you remember Fischer`s move Bxh2?
was young and it seemed rather deep, I didnt get it then, but for some reason always remembered that comment...(while he was munching on noodles!)
Now I'm old and realize he was right...it explains a lot of why some people get in ruts or unhappiness.
I'm sad for his decline, but his words then a...
