Her voice is nice but because she has no technique we never hear the true potential. Everything is clouded over by whiny-pop-technique and breathiness.

The only thing I really disagree here with is the "karaoke-ing", as you put it. This is because sometimes it's not the singer's interpretation, it's simply another arrangement written of the piece, and you can't blame someone for wanting to sing a great piece.
