It KILLS me 1.) How beautiful his songs are 2.) The simplicity and sparseness with which he writes and 3.) That he remains relatively, greatly unknown.
PS - I'll personally take a J. Tillman record over a Father John Misty
Hello to my channel!
Wow. THIS comment above is exactly why artists - musicians, film-makers, etc. - do what they do. Because, just maybe, someone may garner some meaning, some purpose, have a moment of meaning and passion with a piece of their art. Probably because they, too, had those moments, and want to share the same. I wish more people expressed in such a genuine way their moment. Lovely. That is what life's about. A series of meaningful moments.
Hey dude. Wondrous job. It is funny how few people realize the greatness that is Josh Rouse. I like you take stylistically (as in, keeping it your own). I like your angsty-country vocal tone. Good luck man.
And ain't it the truth that the best part of the song, the chill-inducing part, is that middle part with the marimba and descending bass line?
I heard these guys' song "stop" on AccuRadio. This is a lovely band! I cannot seem to find music to preview anywhere?? No Spotify? No blip.fm ? Any help?
Any guitarist/musicians (as if those are 2 different things!) have any idea what kind of FX are on this spooky guitar in the back? Not the feedback, I know how to do that, but the very first guitar lick you here is a spooky/metallic sound. Just a ton of reverb?
