From the horizon a star will be seen; The night will be ravaged and ashes will fall as snow in winter, covering Your people like ghosts; Take Mercy on us, God, and do not assess us harshly; Remember the hearts that rejoice in You and You in them! Remember Your faithful and let not Your Hand fall on us with force, But, rather in Your Mercy lift us and place Your precepts in every heart. God replied "I was a Hidden Treasure and I loved to be recognized, so I created the creatures that I might be recognized."This saying puts centuries of reflection on love into a nutshell. It means that God in his absolute unity is infinitely rich, boundlessly overflowing, merciful, compassionate, loving. Moreover, "God is beautiful,"and he loves beauty." When he loves, it is always beauty that he loves. In his eternal Oneness, that beauty is precisely the Hidden Treasure, for there is no other beauty. His infinite love for beauty then gave rise to the universe, which is defined most briefly as "everything other than God." He filled that universe with beauty so that others might share in the joy of love. The human role in the universe is to recognize God, to love him as he should be loved, and to bring his love and beauty into the world. For God is always creating the universe, which is nothing but the ongoing, ever-changing sparkle of the Hidden Treasure. God's love to be recognized is never absent from the world and our lives, and it constantly instills energy into all things. Love is that empty spot in our hearts that we can never fill, because it craves the infinite riches of the Hidden Treasure.

I began my journey the day I was born. My name told my destiny. Yet, it remained hidden for me to discover. I traveled a long time to get to this moment. So many cactuses I stumbled over in the dark. No star lighted my path-- I was not yet awake. Naivety guided me into sandstorms that made wounds in my soul. Ignorance blinded me as the cactus' thorns scratched me. However, these wounds propelled me forward and kept me on a certain path. One day, when I looked ahead, I saw an oasis. A mirage, I thought, so I slowly walked towards it-- expecting to be fooled again. When I reached the mirage, I found a rose. I touched it and found it was no dream. Entranced by this rose, I placed it in the vase of my heart. As it took root, it became a part of me. My blindness lifted, for I could see the true Light. Faith rested in my heart. My desert rose led me to this destiny. When I stray-- its paper thorns remind me to come back to the straight path. Each day it continues growing, it strengthens my heart and my soul. I water it with my prayers, my charity, my fasting. This rose is here to stay-- It guides me to an eternal Garden. My thoughts, my goals, my actions are preparing my place in that Garden. That is where I will rest my roots-- As long as this rose remains in my heart!!♥ ♥ ♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥ ♥♥─▀██▀─▄███▄─▀██─██▀██▀▀▀█──██─███─███─██─██─██▄█──██─▀██▄██▀─▀█▄█▀─██▀█─▄██▄▄█▀▀▀─────▀──▄██▄▄▄█"O mankind!
