This site has videos of Patricia Cardona during her high school years. Patricia Cardona is currently a Music Performance Major for flute at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance under the instruction of Molly Barth. Patricia graduated with honors from North Salem High School (2008) and was a student leader in both the music and Army JROTC Programs. Her family moved to Salem, Oregon from Honolulu, Hawaii when her father retired from the Navy in 2005.

Among her accomplishments, Patricia was named and Artist for Sonare Winds, a Division of Verne Q. Powell flutes. She was the recipient of the John Phillip Sousa Award, one of two recipients of the National 2008 Arts in Action, Live on Stage scholarship, was the OMTA/MTNA NW Division Senior Woodwind Competition National Alternate, was a national finalist for the JFK Center/National Symphony Orchestra National Trustees' Summer Music Institute (2008), and made the list to perform on NPRs FromTheTop radio program but was unable to be programmed prior to aging-out. Patricia has also placed first and second at OSAA State Solo/Ensemble, was three-time OMEA District 4 Champion, and has been principal flute/piccolo for Salem Youth Symphony, City, State, and NW honor bands. She has additionally soloed with the Salem Chamber Orchestra, the Salem Youth Symphony, and the Salem POPs Orchestra, was a finalist in the MetroArts Young Artist Debut Concerto Competition, and others.

Patricia has performed in master classes for Michel Debost, Jill Felber, Walfrid Kujala, Lorna McGhee, Mary Karen Clardy, Nancy Andrew, Zart Dombourian-Eby, Nancy Andrew, and participated in master classes with Sir James Galway, Sir William Bennett, Robert Dick and others. Patricia has had private lessons with Jim Walker, Jill Felber, Brad Garner and others, and was formerly the student of Sandy Duffy-Norman of RoseWynde Flute and Harp Duo, as well as Sabrina Saiki-Mita at Punahou Conservatory.

Patricia regularly performs throughout her community for fundraisors, weddings and other events and is available by appointment to conduct clinics for Sonare Winds.
