OMP nasce a Genova nel 1973 per volontà dei fratelli Piergiorgio, Roberto e Claudio Percivale, con liniziale produzione di rollbar per vetture da competizione.

Negli anni OMP implementa nuove specializzazioni, diventando protagonista a livello mondiale nei settori: Racing (componentistica di sicurezza per auto e piloti da competizione), Karting (accessori e componenti per le gare Kart) e Tuning (componentistica speciale per vetture stradali).

Affermata e conosciuta tra gli addetti ai lavori e gli appassionati per vestire piloti come Ayrton Senna e Nigel Mansell in Formula 1 e Tommi Makinen e Carlos Sainz nel mondiale rally, la popolarità di OMP viene definitivamente consacrata nel 1996 quando Michael Schumacher sceglie OMP come sarto personale per i suoi 11 anni di vittorie con la Ferrari.

Gli alti standard qualitativi (certificati UNI EN ISO 9001/2000) e la globalità dellofferta sono i punti di forza dellazienda.Tutti i prodotti vengono progettati e testati al fine di ottenere il massimo grado di sicurezza per rispondere alle severe normative di omologazione internazionali per le gare automobilistiche.

Nel febbraio del 2008 il controllo di OMP passa a Gruppo Racing S.p.A., società appartenente al 60% alla holding SAYE S.p.A. dei fratelli genovesi Alberto e Paolo Delprato, al 31% da MPS Venture SGR (Gruppo Monte dei Paschi di Siena) e al 9% da MFO Racing S.A.

La nuova direzione ha realizzato nel 2008 importanti investimenti strutturali attraverso la riorganizzazione della produzione e della logistica e la creazione di un nuovo laboratorio test e del nuovo show room / museo. Alla direzione strategico/commerciale dellazienda viene nominato Federico Minoli, già Presidente e Amministratore Delegato di Ducati Motor Holding ed attuale AD della fiera di Bologna.

OMP was established in Genoa (Italy) in 1973 by brothers Piergiorgio, Roberto and Claudio Percivale, with the initial production of rollbars for competition cars.

Over the years, OMP implements new specializations, becoming a protagonist on a national level in the following sectors: Racing (safety components for competition cars and drivers), Karting (accessories and components for Kart competitions) and Tuning (special components for road cars). OMP became well-known among the professionals and the amateurs of this sector because it provided clothes for drivers such as Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell in Formula 1 and Tommi Makinen and Carlos Sainz in the rally worldwide championship. Its popularity was definitively confirmed in 1996, when Michael Schumacher chose OMP as his personal tailor for 11 years of victories with Ferrari.

The high quality standards (UNI EN ISO 9001/2000 certification) and the global offer are our strength points. All our products are designed and tested in order to obtain the maximum level of safety and are compliant with the strict international homologation standards for car competitions.

In February 2008, the control of OMP passes over to Gruppo Racing S.p.A., a company whose 60% of shares belongs to SAYE S.p.A. holding of Genoese brothers Alberto and Paolo Delprato, 31% to MPS Venture SGR (Monte dei Paschi di Siena group) and 9% to MFO Racing S.A.

The new management realized in 2008 important structural investments by means of the reorganisation of production and logistics, as well as with the creation new test lab and showroom. The person appointed for the strategic / commercial management of the company was Mr. Federico Minoli, former President and Managing Director of Ducati Motor Holding and current Managing Director of the Bologna trade fair and exhibition centre.
