Epic Love is an original composition I wrote several years ago for my girlfriend.

As I am the world's worst singer, I wanted to try to write a sort of love song on the bass - which proved extremely challenging!

Michael Manring's 'Selene' and 'Music for Armchair Funambulists' (which, in my opinion, is one of the best pieces of music ever written) showed me it was possible...

For this piece, I'm using my Line 6 looper. For anyone who isn't familiar with looping, harmonies can be recorded as you play them, then played back whilst additional layers are added on top. (Therefore, nothing is recorded before hand.)

I am playing a piece called Indian Ink by Chequerboard. It is such an incredibly beautiful piece, I had to see if I could ATTEMPT to come up with something on the bass that at least does it partial justice...
