Everyone is born creative; everyone is given a box of crayons in kindergarten.
Then when you hit puberty they take the crayons away and replace them with books on algebra etc. Being suddenly hit years later with the creative bug is just a wee voice telling you, "I'd like my crayons back, please."
You'll be damned if you'll put all that effort into something if there ain't no pot of gold at the end of this dumb-ass rainbow...Heh!
That's not your wee voice asking for the crayons back. That's your outer voice, your adult voice, your boring & tedious voice trying to find a way to get the wee crayon voice to shut the hell up. Your wee voice doesn't want you to sell something. Your wee voice wants you to make something. There's a big difference.
Your wee voice doesn't give a damn about publishers or Hollywood producers.
Your wee voice came back because your soul somehow depends on it. There's something you haven't said, something you haven't done, some light that needs to be switched on, and it needs to be taken care of. Now.
So you have to listen to the wee voice, or it will die... taking a big chunk of you along with it.
They're only crayons. You didn't fear them in kindergarten, why fear them now?

Amit, I just wanted you to know that I am considering doing what you suggested, writing a children's story from the video I created, Jaydin's dream. A good friend from work is an amateur illustrator and I asked him if he would be interested and he replied that he would be. I will keep you informed of our progress. Take care my friend...kelly/minx

Sounds you had a very enjoyable entry into 2012 too, up in the 'monkey forest' among the clean air & birdsong !! That's hard to beat. Been enjoying the cricket between our two nations, and commiserations friend, we're two up with the 3rd test still to go over in the 'Golden West'. That Perth wicket is the bane of batsmen worldwide, super quick, bouncers galore, a quick bowler's dream, but I'm still hoping to see Sachin notch up his 100th international ton in style... he'll do it, I'm certain. :)

Wishing you & your family a very Happy New Year, and a Prosperous 2012 !! Take care my friend, catch you in 2012, and don't do anything I wouldn't do on New Year's Eve... :)) I'm having a quiet one. Truly, I am. Watching it all on TV, with a beer in my hand, and a couple more in the fridge on standby, just in case, and the Stones playing moderately loudly on the stereo... can't play 'em too loud, or it'll attract undesirables, no joke. Good Lord, you missed the Ezra Cup?! (Any relation to Ezra Pound?) Reading on 'Fastpedia' - 'Fast Peter' wouldn't be a bad moniker for it either! lol - the sum of all human knowledge, as we well know ;) it's actually an annual polo tourney. Very interesting, and good to read the Redcoats and Peron's charges - Don't cry for me Argentina - what a song - are now participating too! Hopefully so will the Aussies in the very near future. I'm sorry to read you're in Dhaka, but that Karwan Bazar looks very impressive indeed. Just wondering, what is the biggest race of the year that the Royal Calcutta Turf Club hold? Horse racing - oh yeah, love it. :)

You know something? It looks wayyyy better this way. The nu 'grayscape' imho is hopeless. Calcutta is 10C, wow! Didn't think it got down that low. It's cooler here today, very comfy indeed, and i've got an extra day off, as Chrissy fell on a Sunday. Currently India are playing the Baggy Greens in the traditional Boxing Day Test, though i missed yesterday's start. But already there's controversy aplenty, i.e. a 'storm in a teacup' swirling wildly as your chaps steadfastly refuse - gotta laugh!! - to accept 'DRS' - 'decision review system' (which so often is biased in any case) - and Hussey and Cowan (who i've never seen bat) are already back in the pavilion cooling their bats under - you guessed it - 'controversial circumstances!' This could well lead to an import / export embargo between our two nations, if it's not quickly resolved. lol. As always, may the best team win. :)

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not a fan of this new Youtube design... imho, your page looked better in its previous guise. This new look is too regimented, too impersonal, too grayyyy... it limits one's scope for individuality. But i shouldn't complain - Merry Christmas, Amit !! Btw, where have they hidden the comments now?
