Has anyone enjoyed the sound of just cutting the second-stage (filter)? I know it won't have the same type of sustain, but I figure this way, we won't lose dynamics and won't need a gate.
Does anyone know if the Oc-2 squares the input signal before dropping it an octave, because that would be awesome to tap into as well. Anyone probed all the pins of the 4018 chip?
How would you guys characterize the fuzz sound? My guess is that this pedal is doing flip-flop circuits (for the oct- and oct--) going into a dual-stage, mid-scooped distortion like a muff. I believe Earthquaker has another device where 'filter' means mid-scoop.
Oh man that's awesome. I'm working on a mod that will tap the filtered signal, buffer it, and send it through a simple octave up circuit, then put a toggle that will short Oct2 and use that a100k pot for the Oct+.
Did you post this on diystompboxes or any forums. I'd love to trade ideas.
