La pianista de Jazz Olivia Revueltas nació en la Ciudad de México donde empezó el estudio de la música de manera autodidacta a la edad de 23 años, particularmente especializándose en Jazz y comenzando su carrera en 1978. Su grupo llamado "Naima" desde entonces vino a ser uno de los mas importantes exponentes del Jazz en México en la década de los 80's.
Seria casi imposible, literalmente, mencionar la cantidad de foros donde Olivia Revueltas se ha presentado a lo largo de su carrera, lo mismo en el extranjero que en la República Mexicana. Solo mencionaremos, como nota curiosa, la Magna sala de Conciertos "Netzahualcoyotl" del Centro Cultural Universitario en 1988 justamente antes de irse a vivir a los Estados Unidos.
Olivia Revueltas en México, de 1980 a 1987, produjo y dirigió semanalmente e ininterrumpidamente durante esos 7 años, conciertos de Jazz con todos los músicos mexicanos de la especialidad, evento conocido como "Sábados de 5 a 7" en la "Casa Del Lago" Centro de difusión cultural de la UNAM.
Desde 1984 a 1987 fue instructora del "Taller libre de Música" en el mismo Centro Cultural "Casa del lago" UNAM.
Olivia Revueltas fue directora de la "Casa de la Cultura Tlalnepantla" Estado de México, en el periodo 1985-1986.
Olivia llega a los Estados Unidos en 1988, donde por respeto a las leyes de inmigración y de trabajo de ese país reinicia su carrera hasta 1994 en San
Antonio Texas donde ahora ella radica presentándose en todas las salas de Conciertos de las universidades de esa ciudad así como en todos los museos y centros culturales.
Mike Greenberg, Senior Critic del San Antonio Express News dijo de ella en el 2001: "Olivia Revueltas: una de las mejores pianistas de jazz de las Americas."

Jazz pianist Olivia Revueltas was born in Mexico City where when she was 23 years old, began self-taught studies of music and particularly of Jazz by listening the recordings of the great masters in the field and commenced her performing career in 1978.
Her trio "Naima" became one of the most widely-known jazz groups in Mexico during the decade of the 80's. Literally, it would be almost impossible to mention all of the many stages where Olivia has performed in her country.
From 1980 to 1987 Olivia produced and directed a weekly jazz program with all Mexican Jazz Musicians, "Sabados de 5 a 7" at "Casa Del Lago" of UNAM.
From 1984 to 1987 she was an instructor of "Taller libre de Musica" in the same cultural center "Casa del lago" UNAM. For the period of 1985-1986 she was the Director of "Casa de la Cultura Tlalnepantla" State of Mexico.
In 1984 Olivia started to give lectures on "The History of Jazz" in the diverse University Campus in Mexico City. Olivia came to the United states in 1988 where she started performing until 1994 in the most important museums of San Antonio Texas, city where she resides.
In 2000 she has named as "One of the great figures of Mexican Culture" by the San Antonio Express News. Mike Greenberg, Senior Critic of The San Antonio Express News wrote about her in 2001:
"Olivia Revueltas, one of America's best jazz pianist"
