this is my first deployment also. my boyfriend comes home for r&r in august and then for good december 26. I love my soldier and im a proud army girlfriend! there's nothing easy about it. take lots of pictures for him of your son on his first day! he'll love it!

my friend is there now too... he's in the 1st Battalion 12th Cavalry Regiment... i agree there are alot of idf attacks.. it seems like thats all i hear about when he gets to call me on skype.... basra sucks.
