@GVbroker2 This song was written by Alan O'Bryant of " The Nashville Bluegrass Band." He also played with Bill Monroe for a while.

@drmountebank1 Steve Chapman also played many years with Don Reno and Red Smiley.

You can get a good look at the 3 wound and 3 unwound strings that Josh always used when he takes his break. The unwound 3rd string is essential if you want to get the Josh sound.

@whiskygirl43 AllI know is that I have an album with him holding this guitar on the front cover and you can see Fender plain as day. Enlarge picture and you can read it on this one. This music cannot be duplicated can it?

@jefferyb304 Carl is singing lead on the verse in his Falsetto voice. I don't know who is singing lead on the chorus. There is a box set just came out on Bear Family of all his early work - it will probably tell in there.

@MrHadley2011 Randy takes the break right after the dobro break on the 12-string guitar and then Earl comes back in and finishes it.

The first I saw this was at the movie theater when I was 13 years old-They were the last ones on in the movie-I was getting awfully nervous that they might not be on-well worth the wait.

@livndream4u2 Right on friend-all the modern so-called rhythm players know how to do is strum right up against the bridge and make it sound like playing on a cigar box-they have learned NOTHING from the masters like Carter, Lester, Red Smiley and a host of others.

@stiltoncheesewright AMEN to that. I heard Little Roy Lewis say at a Bluegrass Festival one time when the sound was quealing, "Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs used to play to 2,000 people with one mic and now we have to have 14 mics on stage."
