My name is Justin Allison. Im a Christian, and have been since 1990. Im a Ph.D. student in Old Testament. My Th.M. thesis was titled: An Analysis of the Treatement of Ecology within Recent Old Testament Theology. I also hold an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Seminary, and a B.A. in Religion and Communication from Baylor University. I enjoy thinking about Old Testament Theology, and the environment.
I was a Youth Minister for 8 years. I am an Evangelical, who feels most comfortable in a Baptist or Baptist-like setting.
Im neither Democrat or Republican but Independant. I try to be independant in everything I do, and think matters through before acting and/or speaking. The Bible, especially the Old Testament, has impacted my life in too many ways to list here. My relationship with God drives my choices and actions.
I want to use this blog to discuss issues related to the environment (what I call Gods creation), from a Christian perspective. I want to discuss anything which has to do with environmental policy, personal environmental ethics, or theological issues related to the environment. I also want to discuss my main area of interest, the Old Testament. Ill be discussing Old Testament texts, theology, and backgrounds.
