Frankie Laine - They Call The Wind Maria
Why didn't Frankie record this great song in his prime? He recorded this in 1998 for his CD "Wheels Of A Dream".
He did the initial recording in 1950 - he did an entire album which my parents had and I always enjoyed. The original recording is even better because there's not all that back-ground effects in this version, and it's just his tremendous voice which was so outstanding!

I remember this day like I remember when JFK was killed. I'm a Detroit Lions' fan, but this is the ONE TIME I WAS HOPING TOM WOULD DO IT!!! It was so exciting and he earned it. A man born without a right hand and partial foot deserves to get this kind of chance, and he really made it count!
