Yeah, it's graupel....a form of snow (rounded compacted heavy wet flakes of soft snow)

Actually, looks like graupel, a rounded heavy "soft hail" or "wet snow flake" compacted in soft-ball shaped flakes. Very rare for L.A.

@Yungmoney101100 It is SNOW! There's a mixture of rain and snow hitting the windshield. The bigger drops are coming down as wet snowflakes & the smaller drops as rain. Look carefully.

Scary, but very scenic drive!! Last 10-20% of the drive is really dangerous, hopefully everyone's brakes are working correctly! A ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH, for sure
