It is completely free. You can play whatever you want even if it is "heavy". I want this open mic to be a forum for people to express themselves. Of course I don't want people to be bashing others or hurting others in any way, but you know what I mean. The idea is for it to be different from anything else that has happened on campus. Everything else people have had to try out for, or it had to be "appropriate" for school. I would be so happy to have you perform, and it can be anything that you would like to share. I can remind you again too if you like.

oh ok that makes me feel better because i tend to be a shy person but if it is suppost to be laid back then i may be able to give it a try does it matter what i perform as long as it isn't too heavy?

oh yeah...and it will be in the "Hub" in the campus center building.

Sorry bout that! The open mic's goal is to be very very laid back. I am trying to encourage any people who have never performed before to get up and play. I'm actually going to be helping a fellow classmate work on his first song that he can sing and play to. the open mic is open for any type of performer--comedy, improv, poetry, instrumental, singer/songwriter, etc. Anything goes! I even want faculty to participate if they want. It's going to happen every other thursday, starting with next thursday, the 12th from 8-10:30. Free food, and we're opening it up with an improvisational drum jam to warm people up and ease nerves. Very supportive environment!!! You should really come...I know you'd be great. No tryouts necessary. Just sign up at the door

That's great Rob! I'm sure you are doing great on guitar! I remember you as being extremely musical. I am not real familiar with this youtube page. I'm not a big aim person either unfortunately. Hmm...you ever perform for an audience? You should come to my open mic I'm running at school. November 12th from 8-10:30. I will tell you more about it if you like.

yes i remember that too :) and i'm doing pretty good i've got a gf now and i'm still playing guitar and have gotten so much better then from the last time you saw me and i also recently just got a job at gamestop anyways hope to talk to you soon do you have aim?
